Dr. Sanjay Khadgi, MD, MS (Urology) is a leading Nepali urologist and Chairman of the Khadgi Institute of Endourology, Lalitpur, Nepal, with over two decades of dedicated practice in endourology. After advanced training under Prof. Zeng Guo Hua in China, the pioneer of Mini-PCNL, he introduced the technique to Nepal in 2005 and has since performed more than 17,000 Mini-PCNL procedures and over 2,000 laser prostate enucleation (MiLEP/HoLEP) surgeries.
Dr. Khadgi has played a pivotal role in advancing minimally invasive stone surgery by training numerous national and international urologists through hands-on workshops and live surgical demonstrations. He has served as invited faculty at major international meetings including the SIU, AUA, IAU, Endourological Society, and regional urological associations across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America.
He has authored and co-authored numerous
peer-reviewed publications in leading international journals, contributing significantly to the evidence base for Mini-PCNL and complex stone management. His research has influenced international practice guidelines and consensus statements.
His contributions have been recognized with several prestigious honors, including recognition by the Right Honorable President of Nepal for outstanding service to the health sector in 2025 and the Best Poster Award at the International Experts in Stone Disease Conference, Dubai.
