    Ewelina Wojciechowska, MD, is a Pediatric Surgery Resident at the Department of Pediatric Surgery and Urology for Children and Adolescents, University Clinical Center in Gdańsk, affiliated with the Medical University of Gdańsk, Poland, and is currently finalizing her PhD research.

    Her clinical and academic interests focus on pediatric surgery and pediatric urology, particularly congenital genitourinary anomalies and reconstructive surgery. She has a special interest in hypospadias and penile reconstruction and is further developing her expertise through clinical work in a specialist center in Warsaw. Her doctoral research focuses on foreskin pathologies and their surgical management.

    Dr. Wojciechowska is actively involved in undergraduate medical education and teaches medical students. She is a member of the European Society for Paediatric Urology (ESPU), the Polish Association of Pediatric Surgeons, and the Polish Society of Pediatric Urology. She also serves on an educational subcommittee of the SIU Academy, part of the Société Internationale d’Urologie, contributing to the development of educational content, training materials, and international learning initiatives in urology.

    Her academic activities include scientific publications and presentations at national and international conferences, including award-winning presentations. She is also involved in non-commercial clinical research as an assistant study coordinator for the POLPHITT and POLSTS studies, which include children and adolescents with primary malignant liver tumors, and participates in the Multicenter Evaluation of Gastroschisis Anomaly Study (MEGA Study).

    She regularly expands her surgical expertise through courses and international training in pediatric genitourinary anomalies, reconstructive surgery, and endoscopic surgery. In her clinical practice, she combines precision and evidence-based care with empathy and a strong commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment for children and their families.
