Dr. Nedjim A. Saleh is a Chadian urologist with a special interest in endourology, minimally invasive surgery, surgical simulation, medical bioengineering, global urology, and capacity building in Africa.
He is the founder of Modern Urology for Africa (MUFA), a pan-African initiative dedicated to advancing research, education, innovation, and international collaboration in urology, with the goal of improving access to high-quality urological care across Africa.
His research focuses on urinary stone disease, endourological techniques, surgical simulation, 3D printing for urological training, and the development of affordable medical technologies adapted to low-resource settings. He is actively involved in several international collaborative research projects and has authored numerous scientific publications in these fields.
In recognition of his commitment to advancing urological care and education in Africa, Dr. Saleh was awarded the BANTUC Prize 2024. His long-term vision is to establish centers of excellence dedicated to urological care, surgical training, and simulation, contributing to sustainable workforce development and expanding access to minimally invasive urological surgery throughout Africa.
