Professor Vaibhav Modgil is a Consultant Urological Surgeon and Andrologist at the Manchester Andrology Centre, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, Honorary Clinical Professor at the University of Manchester, Editor-in-Chief of Trends in Urology & Men's Health, and Vice Chair of the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS) Andrology & Genito-Urethral Surgery Section.
An internationally recognised expert in surgical andrology, Professor Modgil is the highest-volume infrapubic penile implant surgeon in the UK, with specialist expertise in penile prosthesis surgery, Peyronie's disease, male infertility, and complex genital reconstruction. He leads the regional male infertility service in Manchester.
He founded, and is the Co-Directorthe of the Manchester Andrology Research Collaborative (MARC). Professor Modgil has authored over 80 peer-reviewed publications, contributed to international guidelines, and served on several national and international committees across Europe and America. He is a passionate educator, mentoring surgeons worldwide in advanced andrological surgery and serving as an FRCS(Urol) examiner.
In 2026, he was awarded the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS) Golden Telescope Award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to British urology.
