    Alessandro Volpe

    Prof. Alessandro Volpe is Full Professor and Chairman of Urology at the University of Eastern Piedmont, Novara, Italy.

    He graduated in 1998 and completed his residency program in Urology at the University of Torino in 2003. He was SUO Uro-Oncology Clinical Fellow at the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 2004-05. He was appointed Assistant Professor at the University of Eastern Piedmont in June 2008, Associate Professor in May 2015 and Full Professor at the same University in June 2024. He has been Chairman of the Department of Urology since January 2016.

    His clinical research focus are urological oncology and minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery with particular interest in kidney cancer.

    Prof. Volpe is the current Chair of the EAU Oncology Section. He has been member of the EAU guidelines panel on renal cell carcinoma (RCC) for over 10 years. In 2013 he was Scientific Director of the OLV Robotic Surgery Institute, Aalst, Belgium. He is member of many international urological societies and reviewer for several major urological journals.

    Prof. Volpe authored over 220 papers and chapters on national and international peer reviewed journals and textbooks. He authored and presented over 480 abstracts at urological congresses and was invited to give lectures at over 170 national and international meetings.
