Dr. Falcone has been involved since his early medical studies in basic and clinical research in the field of sexual medicine. Particularly, his interest is focused on andrology and reconstructive genital surgery. After graduation, he completed the urology training in Molinette Hospital, Torino (Italy). In 2015 he was trained as a clinical fellow at St. Peter's Andrology Center and the Institute of Urology - University College of London Hospital in London (UK). He had a full training in microsurgery, developing the necessary surgical skills to perform complex penile reconstruction (phalloplasty) in both gender and genetic male patients. Over the years he developed a wide clinical and surgical experience in the treatment of erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease and penile cancer. Dr. Falcone is a consultant at “SC Urologia U - Molinette Hospital” and “SC Neurourologia - USU/CTO Hospital” - AOU “Città della Salute e della Scienza”- University of Turin, Italy. He received a Ph.D. on bio-engineer and surgical sciences at the Politecnico of Turin (Italy). He is an active member of YAU (Young Academic Urologist) and a member EAU guidelines panel “Sexual and reproductive health”. He is currently the deputy EIC of IJIR:Your sexual medicine journal.
Dr. Falcone's scientific profile is internationally acknowledged by his many contributions to international congresses and scientific publications in high profile peer-reviewed journals.
