Alex Pastuszak, MD, PhD is an urologist, scientist, and serial entrepreneur. He has a BS from Yale University and MD/PhD from the UCSF, and completed his residency and fellowship in male reproductive medicine and surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. Alex’s clinical and NIH-funded research at the University of Utah is in men’s sexual and reproductive health, and his entrepreneurial work has encompassed healthcare technology, diagnostics, medical devices, pharma, biotech, clinical research, and medical innovation. Alex currently serves as Cofounder and CEO of Paterna Biosciences, and is Associate Professor of Surgery (Urology), Chief of the Section for Surgical Innovation in the Department of Surgery, and Faculty Director of the University of Utah School of Medicine Innovation Unit.
