Dr. Elio Mazzone, MD, PhD in Molecular Medicine
Elio Mazzone is a Consultant Urologist at ASST Grande Ospedale Metropolitano Niguarda, Milan, Italy. He graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome in 2015, completed his Urology Residency with honors at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in 2021, and obtained a PhD in Molecular Medicine in 2024 at the same institution.
Dr. Mazzone has extensive expertise in uro-oncology, robotic surgery, and prostate cancer management. Following several years of clinical and research activity at San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, he completed advanced training in leading international centers across Canada, Belgium, and Australia, including a one-year fellowship at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne.
His clinical practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer, as well as robotic surgery for prostate, kidney, and bladder malignancies. He is actively involved in clinical and translational research, with particular interest in prostate cancer imaging, surgical innovation, and personalized immunotherapy. Dr. Mazzone has authored more than 180 peer-reviewed scientific publications (H-index 37) and is a frequent speaker at major national and international urological meetings
