Professor Ehab Rifat Tawfiek, MD
Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Minia University, Egypt, and a Full Professor of Clinical Urology at Minia Faculty of Medicine.
He graduated from Minia Faculty of Medicine in 1989 and completed his residency and academic training in Urology before obtaining his Doctorate degree in Urology. He pursued advanced subspecialty training in Endourology through a fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University (Jefferson Medical College), Philadelphia, USA, from 1995 to 1997.
Throughout his distinguished academic and administrative career, he held several leadership positions, including Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs (2021–2026), Vice Dean for Environmental Affairs and Community Service (2020), Chairman of the Department of Urology (2015–2019), and Founder and Director of the Urology and Nephrology University Hospital at Minia University (2014–2019).
Significant contributions to advancement of endourology in Egypt and internationally. He served as President of the Endourology Section of the Egyptian Urological Association from 2014 to 2017 and elected as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Urological Association. Member of the Permanent Committee for the Promotion of Professors and Associate Professors
He dedicated research group in endourology and has authored and co-authored more than 49 peer-reviewed scientific publications. He is a reviewer for several international urological journals
Recognized international educator and faculty member in endourology. Course Director and Instructor for multiple flexible ureteroscopy and endourology training courses, including programs conducted under the auspices of the Société Internationale d’Urologie (SIU) and the Egyptian Endourology Section. He is frequently invited as a guest speaker, moderator, and surgical expert at international urological conferences worldwide.
His clinical and academic interests focus on endourology, minimally invasive surgery, urinary stone disease, and advanced endoscopic management of urological disorders.For a high-profile international meeting,
