Prof. Mohamed Kamal Mahmoud Omar is an Associate Professor of Urology and a distinguished endourology consultant at Menoufia University, Egypt. With a strong academic and clinical background, he has established himself as a leading figure in minimally invasive urological surgery, particularly in laser and bipolar enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP and BipoLEP), endoscopic management of urolithiasis, and advanced bladder tumor resection techniques including TURBT and en bloc resection.
He earned his M.B., B.Ch. with honors from Menoufia University, followed by a Master’s degree in Urology and a Doctorate (MD) from the same institution. His training was further enriched by a prestigious SIU Clinical Fellowship at Mansoura Urology and Nephrology Center and a Urology Research Fellowship at the Glickman Urological & Kidney Institute, Cleveland Clinic, USA, where he gained extensive exposure to high-volume, evidence-based urological practice and advanced research methodologies.
Prof. Omar currently serves as Secretary of the Endourology Section of the Egyptian Urological Association and is an Executive Board Member of the Endourology Academy. He is also a consultant urologist at Al Araby International Hospital. His academic contributions include over 40 peer-reviewed publications in leading international journals, with research focusing on endourology, benign prostatic hyperplasia, urolithiasis, and surgical innovation.
An active participant in the global urological community, he has presented at major international conferences including SIU, AUA, and EAU. He is also a recognized educator, organizing and leading multiple surgical workshops and training programs. Through his digital platforms, he shares surgical expertise and educational content, contributing to the advancement of urological practice worldwide.
