    Alexander Kutikov, MD, FACS, is a board-certified urologic surgical oncologist, Co-Executive Director of the Fox Chase–Temple Urologic Institute, and Chair of the Department of Urology at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, where he also holds the Roberta R. Scheller Endowed Chair in Urologic Oncology. The Fox Chase–Temple Urologic Institute is an integrated academic and community-based network that delivers advanced urologic and urologic oncology care throughout the greater Delaware Valley region.

    Dr. Kutikov maintains a high-volume clinical practice focused on urologic oncology with expertise spanning active surveillance, robotic and minimally invasive surgery, complex open surgery, and multidisciplinary cancer care. Under his leadership, the Department has risen into the top 20 Urology programs nationally in the U.S. News & World Report rankings.

    Named Chief of the Division of Urology/Urologic Oncology in 2017, Dr. Kutikov led its transition into a free-standing Department in 2022, further strengthening Fox Chase’s national standing. He has authored more than 300 peer-reviewed publications, including the seminal R.E.N.A.L. Nephrometry Score, a globally recognized system for assessing kidney tumor complexity, and has contributed chapters to leading urologic textbooks, including the definitive chapter on adrenal disorders in Campbell-Walsh-Wein Urology.

    Dr. Kutikov was promoted to full professor before the age of 40 and has held leadership roles within the American Urological Association, the American College of Surgeons, and the Society of Urologic Oncology.

    He graduated from the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology Program at Harvard Medical School, completed his urology residency at the University of Pennsylvania, and completed a Society of Urologic Oncology fellowship at Fox Chase Cancer Center. He earned his BS in Chemistry summa cum laude from Emory University as a Woodruff Scholar and was selected as Emory’s Oxford University Scholar, studying at University College, Oxford, during his junior year.
