Dr Evelyn Mmapula Moshokoa obtained her MBChB, and Master in Medicine in Urology from the Medical University of South Africa (MEDUNSA) and FC UROL (SA) at the College of Medicine of South Africa. Certified as an independent medical examiner.
Dr Moshokoa is the founder and director of Dr E M Moshokoa Inc. and Pelvicworx. She has special interest in pelvic health and sees patients referred from local, South Africa and International referred patients seeking her expertise. As a female Urologist, there are patients who seek and prefer to be seen by a female and there are few in this country. In Midstream and surrounding, patients with urinary incontinence from the step down facilities, from Rehabilitation and the elderly form the most part of consultations. Midstream private hospital attends to both male, female patients with urological problems. Has urodynamic study unit to clarify urological storage and voiding dysfunction. This is a unique service on its own in the Centurion area. Working with an experienced professional nurse with special interest in Urology allows clear and structured training for the patients who need Urotherapy. The procedures include gender reaffirmation surgery, Oncology, Endo-urology, Urogynaecology and paediatric cases. She has registered for PhD in urology and also teaches and supervises Master of Medicine students on practical surgical skills and Research.
She was a Chief Specialist, at the University of Pretoria’s main teaching hospital for 10 years (2009-2019), the Steve Biko Academic Hospital. She had to oversee the overall service delivery and the management of academic programme.
