Dr. Steven Lee Chang is an Associate Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School as well as a urologic oncologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Following his medical education at Columbia University, he completed urology residency and urologic oncology fellowship at Stanford University Medical Center.
As a high-volume surgeon, Dr. Chang specializes in advanced minimally invasive techniques for the management of urologic cancers, prioritizing surgical precision and accelerated recovery. His academic work as an NIH-funded researcher complements his clinical practice. Additionally, he serves on the governing board of the DF/HCC Kidney Cancer SPORE and is a principal investigator within the DF/HCC Research Consortium, focusing on the intersection of clinical trials and translational science.
Central to his academic mission, Dr. Chang is deeply committed to the mentorship and professional development of the next generation of surgical scientists, providing rigorous clinical oversight and research guidance to residents and fellows.
