Jose Ignacio Nolazco, MD, MMSc, is an Argentinian urologist and fellowship-trained urologic oncologist. He received his medical degree from Universidad Austral in Buenos Aires and completed his urology residency and chief residency at Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires. He earned a Master of Medical Sciences in Clinical Investigation from Harvard Medical School and completed fellowship training in urologic oncology through the Combined Harvard Medical School Urologic Oncology Fellowship Program, with clinical and research experience at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Dr. Nolazco’s academic interests include urologic oncology, robotic and minimally invasive surgery, survivorship, quality of life, smoking cessation among cancer patients, and disparities in cancer care. He has been honored with a Fulbright Scholarship, the Amalia Lacroze de Fortabat Fellowship at Harvard University, the Monica Mourier Archibald Memorial Award, and an NIH All of Us Research Program scholarship. He is a member of the SIU Scientific Committee and an SIU Innovator.
