    Anatomical Endoscopic Enucleation of the Prostate (AEEP) has become a leading option for surgical management of benign prostatic obstruction (BPO). This instructional course focuses on shedding light on technical evolutions in this procedure and highlighting the current evidence in treatment outcomes, including functional, patient-reported, and cost-related issues. Through video-based presentations and expert discussion, participants will gain practical insights into starting AEEP learning curve, improving outcomes, advancing their surgical skills in AEEP practice and making safe intraoperative decisions to optimize patient outcomes.

    Learning Objectives:

    At the end of this session, attendees should be able to:
    • Understand the anatomical principles of AEEP, with emphasis on surgical planes, prostate vascular distribution, and urethral sphincter anatomy.
    • Demonstrate step-by-step knowledge of AEEP surgical technique, including enucleation strategies, hemostasis, and morcellation.
    • Reveal different techniques for AEEP through video-based presentations and highlight the pros and cons of each technique.
    • Recognize and manage intraoperative challenges and complications, such as bleeding, capsular perforation, and morcellation-related issues.
    • Compare different energy sources for prostate enucleation in terms of functional outcomes and beyond.
